January 6, 2009

Sean Sullivan, co-owner of GardenArt, is collaborating with Dr. Mike Dana at Purdue University to teach Horticulture 316, Landscape Construction. Sean is responsible for the majority of the lectures and preparing the lab sessions to give students in Purdue's LHD program (Landscape Horticulture with Design emphasis) some hand's on experience.

The public/private collaboration is indicitive of Purdue's desire to give the LHD students as much practical experince as possible. The students have two days of lecture and a three hour lab where they have been constructing retaining walls, laying pavers, working with natural stone, understanding drainage concepts and the latest in low-voltage lighting applications.
